Bring Germany to your school!

A cultural exchange gives Australian teachers of German the unique opportunity of introducing German language and culture to their students – without travelling all the way to Germany!

Here at Exchange Me, we are known for our exchanges between Australia and Italy. But if you have been working with us for a while now, or if you follow our blog, you probably know that we are now working with schools in Germany as well.

We are currently looking for Sydney schools with a German program interested in hosting a group of German exchange students in October 2017. Exchange programs provide a broad educational experience for students and increase international and cultural understanding among young people.

Hosting German ‘short-term’ exchange students

Exchange Me gives language students in Sydney the opportunity to experience German culture at home. We have a group of German students arrive in Sydney in October 2017. The exchange students will spend two weeks in Sydney and two weeks in Wollongong. We are currently looking for schools with a German program to work with us.

Our unique hosting programs provide a broad educational experience for students and increase an overall understanding of the other culture and language. If you would like to get involved, please contact us via this website.

About the program

HOMESTAY

The German students will live with an Australian family to immerse themselves in the language and culture. Hosting a student is a great opportunity to make friendships that last a lifetime. We carefully match up your students based on your age, gender, similar interests and after school activities.

SCHOOL LIFE

Most days, the students will take their German exchange students to school. This is a great way for them to experience the cultural differences and to understand the Australian school system.

ACTIVITIES & TOURS

Exchange Me will organise one excursion per week. This is for the exchange students only and includes day trips to the CBD, Canberra, the Blue Mountains and the Royal National Park. All these excursions are planned by Exchange Me and fully paid for by the exchange students.

CHAPERONES

The group of German students will arrive with at least two chaperones, who are their English teachers from back home. Should you come across any problems during the program, both our team and their chaperones can help you out.

DATES
